BEING A LAZY BUM: I have been hiding in my apartment most of the weekend, which I love to do. Yesterday, I never even cracked the door to go out. I read, watched tv, made dinner and watched more tv. I live for those kinds of days. Today, I'm lounging around until it's time to go to Java Monkey, where I'm featuring tonight. Reading at Java is always fun and I know there will be a big crowd...because there always is.

On Friday, Lady Hardin read at Poetry at Portfolio Center. Only a few people on hand, but some talented ones: Rupert Fike, Robin Kemp, Jake Aull, Cleo Creech and some new faces like Jaya Kamlani and Robin Bennett. Lady read from her new chapbook Beautifully Parched Lips and did some surprisingly political work. She's amazing. Thanks to Raisa for the lovely photo, which is also at Robin's newly redesigned blog.

The other thing I did while being a couch jockey yesterday was take the preliminary test (online) for migrating to the UK under the highly skilled worker program. I passed with points to spare. Now, it's just finding the thousands of dollars to actually make it happen. By hook or by crook...

Yeah, we pass in Canada with way too many points to spare, as well. Money is always the object, isn't it?

See ya tonight...

Wow - blast from the past - this just came up in my Google search for my digital self audit. I need to get back in the ATL spoken word scene!
