Wordsmiths Saved & A Loverly Review

Got a note this morning from the folks at Wordsmiths Books telling me that their controversial fundraising efforts paid off. The store is saved!!! You can read owner Zach Steele's blog at the Wordsmiths' site for the details. I am thrilled for them and, selfishly, for myself. Karen Head and I are doing a reading together at Wordsmiths on Sept. 27 to launch our chapbooks and then on Nov. 8, the annual Voices Carry event will be held at the store. Now that the store is saved, I encourage everyone in the ATL to get over to Decatur and support this fine store.

The loverly Karen Weyant did a loverly review of After the Poison on her blog, The Scrapper Poet. She also has some kind words for Justin Evans' Working in the Birdhouse, which you already know I love. Check out Karen's blog and read her reviews. Cheers, Karen!

I enjoyed Karen's comments about yours and Justin's books. I wrote a comment on her blog.

Collin...I have doubts about your facebook comment on my blog. Sounds like pure denial to me. Ha.

No problem, Collin. And from the way the world is going, you will have plenty of material for new poems. Sigh.
