Book giveaway, anthologies, contests & more
Janet Lane Walters interviewed me for her Eclectic Writer blog. You can read the Q&A at this link.
My contributor copy of A Face to Meet the Faces persona anthology arrived in the mail this week. Bravo to editors Oliver de la Paz and Stacey Lynn Brown for putting this poetry collection together. I'm thrilled to be included. You can order a copy at this link and be sure to follow the anthology's Facebook page for information on upcoming readings by the contributors. I'm hosting one in Atlanta this spring.
If you're a short story writer, you might want to enter the Bevel Summers Prize for Short-Short Fiction. The winner receives $500 for a story of 1,000 words or less. Entries will be accepted from March 1 - 31 and the winning story will be published in Shenandoah, the literary magazine for Washington and Lee University. There is no entry fee (my favorite kind of contest!), and entrants can submit up to three previously unpublished stories for consideration. To see full details, visit this link.
I'm not going to AWP. I'll be writing instead.
