Theresa Davis & Collin Kelley L.A. Tour 2013



Poets Theresa Davis and Collin Kelley will be touring the Los Angeles area in November to celebrate the publication of their new collections, both published by award-winning Sibling Rivalry Press. Davis' first full-length collection, After This We Go Dark, and Kelley's new collection, Render, were published just weeks apart in Spring 2013 and have garnered critical acclaim.

Friday, Nov. 1, 2 p.m. Guest Lecture at University of Southern California (student event)

Sunday, Nov. 3, 8 p.m. at Beyond Baroque, 681 Venice Blvd., Venice, CA 

Tuesday, Nov. 5, 8 p.m. with the Redondo Poets at Coffee Cartel, 1820 S. Catalina Ave, Redondo, CA 

Wednesday, Nov. 6, 8 p.m. at The Ugly Mug, 261 Glassell Ave., Orange CA


About the Poets:

Theresa Davis won the 2011 Women of the World Poetry Slam and was named the McEver Chair in Poetry at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Davis is the author of the chapbooks Head GamesTorn, Rock Star Poet, The Truth About Jaguars and Simon Says, which was published as part of her tenure as winner of the Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs Emerging Artist in 2012. A regular on college campuses and reading series all over the country, Davis' first full-length collection, After This We Go Dark, has just been published by Sibling Rivalry Press. 

Collin Kelley is the author of the poetry collections Better To TravelSlow To BurnAfter the Poison and Render, which has just been published by Sibling Rivalry Press. He is also the author of the novels Conquering Venus and Remain In Light, a finalist for the Townsend Prize for Fiction, and the short story collection Kiss Shot. Kelley has read and guest lectured at schools and universities, including Oxford University. Winner of the Georgia Author of the Year Award, Deep South Festival of Writers Award and Goodreads Poetry Award, Kelley's poetry, essays, interviews and stories have been published in journals and magazines around the world.
