A NOTE ON THE POEM "SIEGE": The poem I posted last night is a work in progress. This is the first time I have ever written something and immediately put it out for public consumption. I usually revise and revise and revise. However, in light of the subject matter, I wanted the words to have topical relevance. I'm sure this poem will change a number of times, especially if I decide to submit it or put it in a collection. I've actually made some changes to it today.
