PUBLICATION NEWS: Just got word that my poem Sometimes Her Arms Bend Back has been accepted for a chapbook anthology called A Slice of Cherry Pie, which will be published this summer in the US and UK in a joint collaboration between The Private Press and Half Empty/Half Full Press. The anthology is work based on David Lynch's classic Twin Peaks. I heard about this call for entries sometime last year and thought it would be a challenge to try and write something that used Twin Peaks -- one of my all time favorite tv shows -- as a jumping off point. Writing something that didn't sound corny and that could stand on its own was more difficult than I thought it would be. The poem took months to write, went through a dozen revisions, and I think I submitted it a day or two before the deadline last fall. The poem finally found its way thanks to some critique from Cecilia Woloch. Since only a dozen poets were selected for A Slice of Cherry Pie, I'm quite thrilled to be among them. I'll post up release date and ordering info as soon as I have it.

TV was never the same after Twin Peaks. "Diane, I'm holding in my hands a small box of chocolate bunnies..."
