Weekend Music: Look Up - Toni Collette and The Finish



I was perusing the line up for the Live Earth Concerts that start tomorrow and noticed that a band called Toni Collette and The Finish were playing in Sydney. Say which? I had no idea Toni -- who is one of the most brilliant actresses -- had such an amazing voice. Her debut album, Beautiful Awkward Pictures, has received rave reviews in her native Australia and they just finished a sold out concert tour, including a massive gig filmed at Sydney Opera House. Go on, girl! The band has a very cool website at www.tonicolletteandthefinish.com.

I've heard some more of the album and it's quite good.

Charles -- yes, she does remind me a bit of Natalie Imbruglia, but maybe with a bit more musical chops. Toni wrote all the songs on the album.
