Bush Should Step Aside For Obama Now
Obama's weekly YouTube addresses show just how in touch he plans to be with the people. He might be the president-elect, but he's more presidential than Bush has been in eight long years. As the economy continues to spiral out of control, Bush gave another "heckuva job, Brownie" speech yesterday to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulsen, who has already given away over $300 billion of the $700 billion bailout, and a big chunk of that change went to Citigroup in a quiet weekend deal. Steve Forbes called Paulsen the worst Treasury Secretary in modern history. Both Bush and Paulsen should step aside and let Obama, his new TS Timothy Geithner and the rest of the incoming economic team take the reins. We still have nearly two months left on Dubya's dictatorship, but his statue needs to be toppled sooner. The country can't afford him and and his cronies any longer...literally.

The fact that Obama is using the next two months to get his team in place means that he'll be ready to act on inauguration day, thank goodness.
WHY IN GOD'S NAME IS EVERYONE AGREEING TO ALL THE ADVICE THIS PAULSON FELLOW & HIS CRONIES ARE SUGGESTING? THEY'RE THE ONES THAT GOT US IN THIS MESS!
I agree, Coll, let's bring President-Elect Obama on in!
In my lifetime, the W. Bush administration has been – by far – the worst I’ve experienced. – and that includes the Nixon years for God’s sake. The sooner that group is behind us, the better. This minute would not be too soon.
I will give Obama the benefit of my doubt here because I do believe in his message. And I want his message to carry him. I don’t, however, believe in his economic choices of Geithner & Summers. In my view it’s more same old same old. I hope they work out – and clearly, we do need Paulsen out of there - but I’ll believe it when I feel it. And not before.
Amy Goodman's broadcast last night (11/25) on NPR - Democracy Now! - put the economic landscape in a clear perspective. Listen to it if you get a chance.
I’m no idealist, and I guess it shows.
