The new hope is here! I have never been more proud of America. This is one of the greatest events we will ever witness. Glad I was here to see it. And thanks to all of you who have followed along on the blog. Change is here. To quote Tony Kushner...the great work begins.

Now it's a matter of not gloating in front of my redneck cracker UberMormon relatives.
Must resist urge to gloat . . .
Must resist urge to gloat . . .
Must resist urge to gloat . . .

the only other time i cried over an election, the "winner" was george bush and the tears were not of joy.
in harlem, horns were blaring and people were shouting still, when i went to sleep around 2am.
GOOD GOOD MORNING!
I'm so glad we could all be a part of this campaign. The American people rose to this, and we should all be so proud. My arm is sore from "Obama-bumping", and "fist-pumping" out the window of pal Danny M.'s car. We kept hitting the horn, and I kept shouting to everyone we saw "Obama, Obama."
There was so much chanting of his name, it began to sound like a ballad of sorts....
What a spectacular night for the United States of America! And what hope for our relationship with the world!
but today that line is a lot less true . . . woo-hoo!!!
I read your following post, about prop 8. Let me know what I can do to help counteract this kind of discrimination. It worries me. On a personal note, my sister, a lesbian, single, adopted a baby girl from Guatemala, who is now three. It scares me to think someone might try to take the baby away from her. I heard that some states are working on banning adoption rites for gays and lesbians. Absolutely criminal.
