Sick Call
Just got in from seeing my doctor, who diagnosed a nasty case of tonsillitis. I feel like hell warmed over, so I'm taking a short blogging break. Hope to have new stuff to post tomorrow night, including reviews of Doubt and I've Loved You So Long.

Looking forward to reading your reviews.
--pickles and olives (or gargling with their juices - more disgusting than just eating them.) The vinegar and salt help kill germs the throat, or something. In a similar vein, salt and vinegar chips.
--alternating popsicles and hot tea
--chili, chicken soup with tobasco and as many fresh herbs - especially thyme, that you can find.
--ginger lemon honey tea
--Airborne gummi lozenges (suprisingly helpful!)
--asking for a special medicinal gargle at the doctors - mine contained liquid benadryl, liquid tylenol, a small amount of both steroids and antibiotics. This is a heavy-duty weapon for throats! Missing this, try a homemade mixture of liquid tylenol, liquid benedryl, and maalox. Surprisingly helpful in the short term, anyway.

Seriously though, get well soon, sweetie!
