New poetry, an essay and a tribute to Jackie Sheeler

I am thrilled to have two new poems – "Girl Detective" and "Revenant" – in the anthology Reading Queer: Poetry in a Time of Chaos from Anhinga Press edited by Neil De La Flor and Maureen Seaton. I’m sharing space with Bryan Borland, Seth Pennington, Jericho Brown, Eduardo C. Corral, Ellen Bass, Gregg Shapiro, James Allen Hall,Jim Elledge, Juliet P. Howard, Megan Volpert, Ruben Quesada, Samiya Bashir, Shane Allison, Stephen Mills and Valerie Wetlaufer among many others. You can order the anthology at this link or from your local bookshop.

Blue Fifth Review's second Twin Peaks themed issue is out now featuring my essay "Exit Screaming: The Inconclusive Fate of Laura Palmer." I'm in good company here, too, with DeMisty D. Bellinger, Spencer Chou, Kolleen Carney-Hoepfner, The Lees of Memory, Derek Peters and Kailey Tedesco. Many thanks to editor Sam Rasnake for asking me write the essay. You can read the issue online at this link. And if you haven't read the first themed issue, which features my poem "Another Monica Bellucci Dream," you can read it at this link.

I'm heading to New York on May 4 for a tribute to Jackie Sheeler at Cornelia Street Cafe, where she hosted her long-running Pink Pony Reading Series. I'll be reading in her memory and spending the evening reminiscing about her with fellow poets, loved ones and friends.
